Biography
Proposed background: Petra was a tall regional professional boxer who grew tired of having reach mistaken for a complete tactical plan. After retiring, she worked as a technical assistant in professional camps and in adapted-sport movement settings, learning to question equipment and instructions before blaming an athlete's body. Summit Gate developed from that combined experience. Her competitive past gives weight to her dislike of heroic posturing, but she does not present herself as an undisclosed former world champion.
Personality
Plain-speaking, attentive and darkly funny. She can puncture grandiosity in one line, sometimes before noticing that the speech concealed genuine fear.
Coaching philosophy
A good coach increases choices. Being big, loyal or brave should never trap a fighter inside a movement that has stopped working.
Specialities
Tall-athlete balance, long jab recovery, controlled combination exits and individual equipment adaptation.
Signature methods
Gate drills give two legal exit routes after a combination; the coach praises leaving at the right time. A smaller athlete’s lane is evaluated on its own geometry, not as a simplified version of the tall lane.
Corner behaviour
“You have room. Use it.” Short grounded instructions and explicit permission to change course; she does not demand a dramatic rescue round.
Sparring behaviour
Petra maintains strict size and task matching, stops pride-driven escalation and gives same-division rivals separate confidential review. Cross-size lessons stay non-contact.
Fighter relationships
Friedrich receives respect without flattery, Koda must practise leaving, Kerem must distinguish a new plan from broken loyalty, and Leon is asked what support he wants.
Strengths
Excellent individual mechanics, honest authority and the confidence to correct a champion without performance.
Flaws
Bluntness can minimise emotion; she sometimes assumes a practical adjustment has resolved a deeper hurt.
Appearance
Sable German Shepherd with greying cheek fur, a powerful practical stance and natural upright ears; slightly uneven smile and broad expressive hands.
Professional attire
Slate sleeveless quilted vest over a glacier-blue long-sleeve shirt, dark trousers and well-used supportive trainers.
