Biography

Proposed background: Grace competed as an amateur and spent a substantial early coaching apprenticeship as a full-time assistant in professional boxing. She later added performance consultancy, where she became frustrated by reports that never changed an actual corner decision. Tideglass followed years leading technical camps and seeing how a concise instruction could either unlock a boxer or silence an objection. Her expertise is therefore boxing first, with analysis used to refine it. She is still learning when a tidy explanation requires a less tidy personal conversation.

Personality

Direct, tactful and privately impatient with avoidable ambiguity. She gives people room without offering a vague promise of unlimited availability.

Coaching philosophy

A useful instruction is understood and usable now. Personal autonomy is compatible with an explicit commitment to the team.

Specialities

Lead-foot relationships, short defensive rolls, straight counter lanes and stopping an entry on the first reliable cue.

Signature methods

A three-second choice window follows a deliberately limited set of cues; the athlete states the choice first, then sees whether the movement matched it. Cameras record decisions rather than awarding personality scores.

Corner behaviour

One sentence, one check for understanding and a brief physical cue. She can say “I was wrong about that lane” without destabilising the corner.

Sparring behaviour

She moves quickly to stop creeping intensity, asks permission before physical demonstration and requires an actual answer from athletes who habitually nod.

Fighter relationships

Yelena receives objective stopping criteria rather than endless self-correction. Laurent’s confidence is welcome until it silences a teammate; Arun is consulted before advice becomes an order.

Strengths

Clarity, rapid adaptation and respect for boundaries that makes reserved athletes safer to speak.

Flaws

Can treat an untidy feeling as an inefficient agenda item; her protected autonomy sometimes hardens into reluctance to seek advice.

Appearance

Brindle Boxer with a white muzzle blaze, natural folded ears and an athletic compact frame; alert eyes and an old small scar through one eyebrow.

Professional attire

Graphite polo, sea-glass zip jacket, flat black trainers and a plain digital watch; no suit of futuristic sensors.
