Biography
Proposed background: Jun was never a prominent professional fighter. His boxing authority comes from decades teaching balance and feint recognition, followed by extensive work as a technical assistant and corner communicator for professional camps. He kept theatre stage-management work because he enjoyed it and it helped him learn to cue anxious people without adding noise. Lantern House brought that long technical practice into a permanent home. He remains willing to ask another specialist for help, especially when an elegant communication exercise is beginning to replace a direct boxing answer.
Personality
Quietly playful, observant and a little vain about his ability to make a complicated session seem effortless. He enjoys a well-timed harmless surprise.
Coaching philosophy
An athlete does not need to become loud to become clear. A cue should make a choice easier, not make obedience look graceful.
Specialities
Feint literacy, compact guard recovery, balance after body combinations and patient rear-hand counters.
Signature methods
The cue lamp changes after a valid visual feint, never at random; athletes learn to distinguish a signal from atmosphere. They sometimes teach the drill back without words, then explain what was lost.
Corner behaviour
He crouches to the fighter’s eye line, gives one image such as “the narrow doorway” and asks for a concrete response. Playfulness vanishes when the athlete needs urgent clarity.
Sparring behaviour
Jun watches feet first, then asks the athlete where their attention went. He stops a partner who treats a quiet person as permission to dictate the session.
Fighter relationships
Daichi may test advice before trusting it; Hiro gets a direct invitation to ask for reassurance. Kenji is respected for independent perception but must remain present after criticism.
Strengths
Precise communication, reading subtle cues and making vulnerable requests feel ordinary.
Flaws
May arrange the perfect teaching moment instead of admitting he needs a difficult direct conversation; enjoys appearing unflappable.
Appearance
Small black-and-white Japanese Chin with soft feathering, a greying cheek fringe and lively eyes; upright balanced posture and thin round glasses.
Professional attire
Indigo cardigan over a plain cream shirt, amber whistle cord used as a visual cue only, loose trousers and soft trainers.
