Biography
Proposed background: Inês first taught amateur combinations while managing textile production, then moved into full-time assistant training and professional camp planning. Her reputation grew through keeping fluent combination fighters balanced when their first idea stopped working. Running busy production shifts also taught her how often the most dependable person becomes everybody's spare capacity. She founded Sunroom after years of professional corner work, determined to offer good conditions and protected coaching time. That history explains her methods; it does not retroactively claim any current member's earlier victories.
Personality
Warm, brisk, amused and direct about boundaries. She enjoys ambition but distrusts promises made on another person’s behalf.
Coaching philosophy
Make enough room for the next movement and the next day. Help freely without needing to become essential to everyone.
Specialities
Jab-led combinations, continuous balance through angled exits and adapting pressure without crowding the feet.
Signature methods
The empty-tray review asks each boxer to leave one unnecessary task off the schedule. A flowing pad sequence changes at a spoken boundary cue rather than on applause.
Corner behaviour
Brisk, affectionate and concrete. She checks the athlete’s own observation before adding a cue, without turning a minute into reassurance theatre.
Sparring behaviour
Stops an athlete doing another person’s work, asks what was intended and gives the pair a clear shared question.
Fighter relationships
Theo learns to assess work before hearing praise; Zion protects rest without betraying ambition. Fighter Inês can lead a drill only after hearing the partner’s plan.
Strengths
Connects creative confidence with repeatable habits, names quiet overwork and keeps warmth practical.
Flaws
Occasionally assumes a kindly direct instruction landed clearly; her urge to organise can crowd the very space she wants athletes to keep.
Appearance
Adult female black Portuguese Water Dog with a silver chin, small white chest fleck, loose curls and a broad expressive muzzle; sturdy rather than willowy.
Professional attire
Sea-blue coaching top, terracotta zip jacket, cream trainers and a cloth wrist strap holding a small timing card.
