Head coach
Mairi CalderTraining approach
Proposed England-to-Glasgow camps with booked technical blocks and personal responsibility for timely equipment checks.
Development focus
Complete a simple kit-and-entry checklist early, saving improvisation for the opponent instead of preventable camp problems.
Why this gym
Rupert’s rolling close hooks fit the engine-shop’s inside craft, while repair work on underwater equipment gives him a specific connection to practical workshop life.
Compatibility
Mairi enjoys resourcefulness but makes preparation a shared expectation rather than a last-minute creative challenge.
